Hudson River Valley native Bob Hauver traces his musical roots back to the 60’s and 70’s - Joni Mitchell, Jimi Hendrix, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and the Beatles were all heavy influences. After studying and traveling in England and Europe, he found his way to New York City, where he began developing his music through studio collaborations with producers such as Steve Burgh (Steve Forbert, Phoebe Snow), while performing at venues up and down the Hudson River Valley from Saratoga to Greenwich Village.
He founded Hudson Valley Records and HV Mixed Media, entertainment companies dedicated to promoting visual and musical artists from NY’s Hudson River Valley. (You can hear samples of more of his music in the Luminaria and Full Moon Bay parts of this website, and view his artwork in the Boblo section). In addition to painting and music, he is also the co-creator of “Portrait Of A Genius”, an absurdist art video about a latter day “Renaissance man”, who happens to be a goat!
His vocal and instrumental music has been heard on radio stations throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia., and has also been aired on TV stations such as MTV, Music Choice Network, and Fox News Channel.
Bob's album, "Welcome To My World!", is an eclectic group of songs, ranging in style from Latin to Bluegrass to Middle Eastern to Classical to R&B. You can hear the album by clicking on the link below.
